HPO is a youth led non-governmental organization founded 2017 by university students pursuing public health at University of Rwanda, specifically Environmental Health Sciences, and Human Nutrition and Dietetics students.
The HPO division for students called the Health Promotion Corps unites University of Rwanda Public Health Association (URPHSA) at University of Rwanda; Catholic University of Rwanda Public Health Association (CUPHSA) at Catholic University of Rwanda and Alumni chapter, graduates that passed through these associations at university.
HPO came for empowering public health students and young fellows to tackle community health problems through community services; training and internships for career development and orientation.
HPO also engage and empower different youths at community level to bring solution in their localities in regards of health relief; development and promotion as well as working closely with youth associations/Clubs /Organization to improve health of the community.
